California 300 officials are proud to announce the addition of electric adventure vehicle designer, UBCO, as a presenting sponsor of the inaugural California 300, coming to Barstow, California this October 12-16. As part of the partnership, UBCO will be offering test rides and exclusive offers on its electric 2-wheel drive motorbikes at the event.

“We’re thrilled to partner with UBCO to bring the 2X2 Adventure and Work bikes to the inaugural California 300 later this year,” said California 300 CEO Matt Martelli. “Electric vehicle technology of all types continues to take leaps and bounds forward, and UBCO has developed a durable line of premium electric motorbikes that can handle both on- and off-road challenges. We hope that everyone will check out UBCO’s bikes on site in Barstow, and we’re sure that many will fall in love with their platform after their very first ride!”

“UBCO 2X2s are gaining a real following by off-road utility users, particularly in navigating tough ranching, hunting and adventure terrains. And now we are now really excited to introduce our bikes to off-road culture at The California 300!” commented UBCO Director, Events & Experience Director Joey Pleich. “UBCOs are a very unique vehicle and experience – not fitting squarely in any one vehicle category. So we’re inviting riders to come visit us in Barstow and experience the UBCO grin for themselves.”

The UBCO 2X2 was designed in New Zealand with tough engineering to sit somewhere between a dirtbike (fun off road adventure), motorbike (road registerable), utility bike (cargo and tow capable), e-bike (quiet and low impact) while being as easy to use as a scooter (step through, twist and go).

Details regarding sponsorship packages and exhibitor vending for the inaugural California 300 are currently available at TheCalifornia300.com. Race registration is currently available through OffRoadRacer.com. Spectator tickets, camping information, and parking passes will all be released over the coming month.

About UBCO
UBCO was founded on the idea of a rugged all-wheel-drive electric utility bike germinated in 2014. Daryl Neal and Anthony Clyde, after spending 10 years in the electric bike industry, saw a gap in the market for a new category of product. The concept was a tough 2-wheel drive, electric, lightweight utility vehicle – used mainly for ranching on rough terrain.

UBCO has rapidly evolved into a digitally connected Electric Adventure Vehicle (EAV) platform. Leveraging the benefits of modern electric drive and battery technology, its platform includes on and off-road transport, a diverse range of cargo attachment options, and an intelligent software platform. As a result of demand, a dual-use, road-registrable version of the 2X2 was developed (2X2 Adventure model), alongside a host of new technology. The UBCO 2X2 is now in its fifth generation, and with a trail bike also in development, the company is making strong inroads as a surprising and exciting entrant into the electric vehicle space.
Whether you’re taking inspirational journeys, exploring the planet, conserving our parks, or getting jobs done, UBCO wants to ‘power your purpose’.
