On August 14th, the unification of Best in the Desert and UNLTD Off-Road Racing into a new national points series in 2026 was announced. The 2026 American Off-Road Racing Championship will feature contributions from both UNLTD and BITD event calendars. This collaboration marks a decisive step forward toward unity, consistency, and long-term growth in American Off-Road Racing.

That being said, every decision we make now is shaping what comes next.

As part of this alignment, the 2025 California 300 will not go on as planned. Instead, UNLTD and BITD will join forces for the final round of the 2025 season at the iconic Laughlin Desert Classic, October 15–19. Simply put, there’s no reason to compete for entries in October when we’ll be unified at the same time.

UNLTD Points:

UNLTD will only award points to racers that are in the current UNLTD Points Championship. If you did not race either The Parker 400 or The Mint 400 and are out of the points championship, there is no need to award points since you did not start all 3 races.

Come Race in Laughlin!

Anyone not in the current UNLTD Points Championship will run the Best in the Desert Rulebook like a normal Best in the Desert Race. Details can be found on this page.
